When we initiated the fight for justice for Liberian war victims soon as after the released of the final TRC report in December of 2009, many faithless Liberians opposed us. Yesterday, many Liberians descended on NYC to demonstrate their support for the creation of a special war and economic crimes court on Liberia. We believe that without confronting our painful history, Liberia shall not know peace.

“Give me justice and I will make peace with myself and my neighbors:… Massaquoi 2018.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the protest yesterday. You can defame and kill the messenger but not the message.

The message of  justice for Liberian war victims shall live on long after the passing of comrade Jacob Massaquoi, comrade Kirkpatrick Beweh Weah, comrade Cyrus Cooper,  comrade Jeffrey Harmon,  comrade Anthony Garley, Jacob Seyon Kwateh, Senior comrade Prof. Alaric Topka, comrade Rufus Neufville; comrade Patrick, Comrade Julius Jaesen   and all the veterans who have been fighting in the tranches both in Liberia and in the diaspora. As more Liberians see the light, the voices for justice for Liberian war victims will only become louder.

I am exceedingly grateful to everyone who participated in the protest yesterday. The struggle continues until Liberia is free from the current state of social, political, and economic decadence. Down with impunity!
